The Varanda do Outeiro is a place of distant gazes, which extend and land on the mountains of Portugal and Spain!

At the foot of them is the town of Melgaço and its castle, which at the time of the reign of King João I was the scene of the war for the independence of Portugal against Castile, as the legend of Inês Negra tells us,

This house has been restored to provide you with every comfort and offers you, on the first floor, a large living room with a fireplace, a bedroom suite with a bathroom with shower, and two bedrooms with double beds and a bathroom with a bathtub. The entire floor is surrounded by a balcony overlooking the village of Melgaço and neighbouring Spain.

On the ground floor, a fully equipped kitchen will allow this to be the centre of your meals and long conversations, and direct access to the outdoor area with barbecue and garden brings a feeling of freedom and well-being. In this space, you will also find a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with a shower. It is equipped to accommodate up to 8 people and has free Wi-Fi.

At the foot of the Varanda do Outeiro lies the lung of the Melgaço Thermal Baths, the Minho River singing its glories, the vineyards of men who labour to refresh their souls with the luminous Alvarinho wine.

Parking note: it is possible to park a light car and SUV inside the property. Due to the narrow access, 7/9 seater vans may not be able to drive up to the house and must be parked on the street.

Casa quentinha e aconchegante, fomos recebidos com um doce delicioso e um vinho Alvarinho muito bom. Casa muito limpa, vista bonita, super perto do centro da vila. Recomendo!!!

Casa muito grande, com tudo o que é necessário para um grupo de até 8 pessoas, tem 4 quartos com cama de casal e 3 casas de banho, tudo muito limpinho, com lenha para a lareira e aquecimento em todas as divisões. Comemos lá e tinha imensa louça á disposição, bem como todos os eletrodomésticos necessários (máquina de loiça, chaleira, tosteira, máquina de café, etc.). Os únicos pontos negativos são os acessos à casa, uma das camas ter um colchão super duro e no último dia termos ficado sem água quente (mas ligamos com as proprietárias e tentaram agilizar tudo o mais que conseguiram, provavelmente foi a caldeira que se estragou, o que é totalmente imprevisível). De resto nada a apontar, iremos voltar com toda a certeza!

Excelente! Fomos fazer uma atividade de Team Building a Melgaço e reservamos a casa para fazer um jantar e relaxar depois da aventura. A casa é bastante espaçosa, confortável e muito bem localizada numa zona bastante calma. A cozinha estava muito bem equipada e a sala de jantar foi perfeita para o nosso jantar. Os processos de check in e checkout foram bastante simples e os anfitriões foram super simpáticos e prestáveis. Definitivamente recomendamos. Obrigada!

Embora haja alguma dificuldade nos acessos, vale a pena a estadia, pela empatia da Sofia e Henrique. Foi a primeira vez que estive nesta casa fantástica, espaçosa e muito bem equipada, num local às portas do centro da cidade de Melgaço, a pouco mais de 50 metros das termas e respetivo hotel e ainda mais perto do hotel Boavista. local muito sossegado e próximo de vários pontos turísticos de interesse, com história em Portugal e Espanha.

Tivemos uma experiência magnífica. uma casa maravilhosa, bastante espaçosa, muito limpa e com uma luz incrível e vistas lindíssimas. esteve mais do que à altura do expectável. fomos muito bem recebidos pela sofia, que desde sempre se mostrou 100% disponível para qualquer eventualidade. não há palavras para a amabilidade com que fomos recebidos. não só recomendamos esta pequena maravilha como com certeza voltaremos.
